Purple America is a national initiative of Values-in-Action Foundation to re-focus the American conversation to a civil, productive and respectful dialogue around our American shared values.
Values-in-Action Foundation empowers students and adults to build communities of kindness, caring and respect through programs that teach, promote, and provide skills and tools to enable individuals to make positive values-based decisions every day. Mr. Sondhe, a professional speaker, author and radio and television personality and founder and CEO of Poly-Carb, Inc., a material science company acquired by Dow Chemical Company, immigrated to the United States from India in 1968 to complete his Ph.D. studies in Polymer Chemistry. Poly-Carb, Inc.’s success was based on a modern style paradigm in which team members are directed by the company’s mission statement, operating principals and personal values. Having created tremendous wealth in his business and family and seeing the discontent and depression so many experience in their daily lives, Sondhe embarked on a mission to give back to society.
